There are connection kits for Mercruiser or Volvo Penta stern drive engines, Outboard engines and a universal kit for inboard engines. The drive is mounted in a location away from the heat and vibrations of the engine. An interconnect cable is used to connect it to the engine steering system using one of the simple to mount connection kits.
